Brazen is an herbal supplement company for people with periods. I worked with them in 2019 and 2020 to develop the content strategy for a new weekly newsletter and blog series, revise their welcome email flow, write web copy, develop a lead magnet, and more.
Period Talk, the newsletter, contained a round-up of relevant news, art, and opinion pieces from around the web as well each week’s blog post. The blog posts shared insights on all things related to menstrual health – from how to “read” your period based on the color and consistency of your blood, to cramp-soothing recipes, the why behind mysterious black stringy discharge, and beyond.
In addition to content strategy, I wrote their weekly blog posts and newsletters for eight months. During this time, we saw a decrease in the unsubscribe rate and significant increases in blog traffic, open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
